Dear Friends of Evangelism:
The next couple of years are exciting ones for evangelism. 2009 has been designated as the year for pastoral evangelism and this year
the NET event is going to be a highlight in the field of satellite evangelism.
One of our most successful evangelists, Mark Finley, is ready to work with you and your church to reach out beyond the walls
of the sanctuary and open your arms to embrace those who have been waiting for an invitation to
know God in a deeper and more satisfying way.
What a joy it is to know that God is calling every member to be his witness! It's not a selective call to pastors and evangelists only.
Every member can experience the great joy of seeing someone come to Jesus because of their prayers and efforts.
Discoveries '08 is an opportunity to become prepared for the year of pastoral evangelism. Pastors can listen and learn from Mark Finley,
sharpen outreach skills by experimenting with the Five Successful Keys to Evangelism, and then begin making plans for their own unique series in 2009 using church members will be the evangelism
team.
It's important that all churches register at www.Discoveries08.org
as soon as possible so that you'll be in the first mailing of registration packets that will go out in two weeks. The packets will include the organization manual, forms for ordering supplies, the
revival series, Empowered by the Spirit, plus other valuable items for planning a series.
Pastor Finley is urging both home owners and churches to host the event and to register before June 1 to receive the free 5-sermon revival
series, Empowered by the Spirit". The series was videotaped for Adventist Preaching and for a pre-event series to prepare churches for evangelism. The 2-DVD set, which retails for $24.95, is free to all who
register. Don't put off adding your home or church to the list of over 450 sites that have already come on board.
